About Us
Joining the Dots is a small, highly professional, community-based social work organisation based in New Plymouth.
Mission Statement
Joining the Dots encourages children and young people and their families/whanau to make creative discoveries
as a way to overcome challenging situations. We facilitate interventions that connect children and young people to
their family/whanau, friends, education, work and community.
Vision
Joining the Dots vision is for all children and young people to have a sense of belonging
or connectedness to family/whanau, friends, education, work and community.
Core Values
- The voices of the children, young people and families/whanau we support are most important and direct any intervention plans.
- The choice of the working environment belongs to the children, young people and families/whanau and it's our responsibility to fit in.
- Joining the Dots will always work in collaboration.
- We will always adhere to the code of ethics as stated by the Association for Social Workers in Aotearoa New Zealand (ANZASW) and the Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB).
